Below is the draw and format for the 2008 Guolian Securities World Snooker Jiangsu Classic.
The top two in each group go through to the semi-finals, with the Winner of Group 1 playing the Runner-Up of Group 2 and vice-versa.

Provisional format
All matches in the Round Robin stages will be the best of 3 frames. The Semi Finals will be best of 7 frames and the Final will be best of 11 frames.
Table numbers for all Round Robin matches will be determined the day before and published by the tournament director.
All matches in Round Robin stages are played on a roll on/roll off basis. Play will start not before the allocated time each day with a 10 minute interval between matches.

The 2008 Guolian Securities World Snooker Jiangsu Classic, a brand new tournament to take place in China next month, will boast eight of the world's top 12 players.
World Snooker is delighted to announce that the event’s title sponsor is Guolian Securities, a comprehensive securities company with brokering, asset management and investment banking services. Formerly known as Wuxi Securities Limited Liability Company, it was established in 1992 and now has bases throughout China.
The professional players in the field include:
Shaun Murphy, 2005 World Snooker Champion
Mark Selby, 2008 SAGA Insurance Masters and 2008 Welsh Open Champion
Ali Carter, runner up in the 888.com World Snooker Championship
Ryan Day, runner-up in the Roewe Shanghai Masters
Peter Ebdon, 2002 World Snooker Champion
Neil Robertson, two-times ranking event winner
Ding Junhui, China’s top player and the home favourite,
Joe Perry, 888.com World Snooker Championship semi-finalist
The field is completed by Asian wild cards Liang Wenbo, Liu Chuang, Jin Long and Li Hang.
For the first time in snooker history, the tournament will be split between two venues. The group stages and semi-finals will be held in the Capital of Jiangsu Province, Nanjing, from June 4 to 6. The final will then be held in nearby Wuxi City, Ding’s home town, on June 8.
This new tournament is part of World Snooker’s strategy to develop the Chinese market further with the objective of hosting more ranking events in the region.
