Well, just in case you hadn’t already guessed from the headline, the bad news is that Martine McCutcheon has broken up with her lover, property developer James Tanner. Martine recently confirmed that their relationship had fallen prey to the two-year itch just over a month ago. ‘We both thought it best to go our separate ways,’ she says. ‘It was simply time to move on.’

But now for the good news: it seems that the ex-EastEnder has already found a gorgeous sportsman to hang around with, while she gets over the break-up. So who is he? Well, we’ll give you a couple of clues. He’s a world champion - so that counts out any of the England football team. He wears a hairband – so he’s not a rugby player either.

Guessed who it is yet? Apparently, Martine has been out on the town with snooker star Ronnie O’Sullivan. The pair were recently spotted in London’s Browns nightclub, they both turned up to Ronnie Wood’s birthday party and they went to the Olympic flame party together.

‘They arrived together, chilled out in the VIP area for an hour and left together,’ an ‘onlooker’ told the Sunday People. ‘We wouldn’t be surprised if love blossomed between the two.’

So could it be love, actually? Only time will tell. But millionaire Ronnie is quite a catch – so if he stays single, form an orderly cue, ladies. Get it? Cue! OK, sorry about the terrible joke: normal service will be resumed tomorrow.
